Copyright in the digital age: challenges and new legal perspectives

This critical review analyses the book entitled De Gutemberg à Internet, by Henrique Gandelman. The author presents, first, a historical contextualisation of the evolution of copyright, taking into account its national and international protection. In addition, the reflections of digital technology on the legal framework for the protection of intellectual creations are examined, listing some questions associated with copyright on the internet and in cyberspace. Jurists must remain attentive to these copyright perspectives, analysed beyond the physical space, in the light of the new technologies and their impacts on copyright.
